We Interrupt This Blog...

They are saying that the storm that is hitting the Phillipines right now, named Super Typhoon Haiyan is the strongest storm to hit land...EVER!!!

Two hundred thirty-five mile per hour winds. 235!!!

While my hometown of Manila might get residual effects of the rain (and that's bad enough already), the majority of the damage has or will occur in the middle region of the country called Visayas (that would consist of most of the islands between the main island north called Luzon and the lower island region called Mindanao).

Taken from The Weather Channel website:

"Per PAGASA, the Philippine weather department, Super Typhoon Haiyan (locally named "Yolanda") made landfall at 4:00 a.m. local time Friday, November 8, 2013 (3:00 p.m. U.S. eastern time). The super typhoon made landfall near Guiuan, on the Philippine island of Samar. Next update at 11 p.m. eastern (U.S. time)."

Prayers go out to family and friends still living in the Philippines. Stay safe. In this day and age of social media, take care of yourselves and your families first. Then come back online and let us know how you're all doing.

Mabuhay!!!

Sincerely,

JayBee Anama

I love comments. Please leave comments!!! (Ego, hush). Just keep your words clean (I show my kids this stuff), and the comment will be accepted.

If you must leave a comment anonymously, that's fine too. Although I wish you wouldn't. I'd like to get to know the people who actually read this humble little blog.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

JayBee Anama
