Key differences between the team set and 2012 Topps eponymous set:
- We know all the stories about Albert Pujols' Topps cards. The regular base card uses the same picture in the retail set, but I would be remiss if I didn't include pictures of the SP and SSP cards:
- Mark Trumbo, along with most of the 2011 All-Star Rookie Team members had two cards. The card used in the retail set is the same as the one card that didn't have the Rookie Cup. So, here is the card WITH the Cup:
- Chris Iannetta was with the Rockies the year before, and Topps photoshopped the Angels jersey onto the picture. Next to his base card is the card found in Update Series:
Next week's featured set will be the 2012 Los Angeles Dodgers. Hope you'll be here when we compare the cards from the retail set to their counterparts found in Topps and Topps Update Series.
Sincerely,
JayBee Anama
P.S. hiflew: To save time, I was looking up Dan Haren on the BCCM. He didn't show up, so I assumed that he didn't have a card. It turns out that the BCCM misspelled his name as Dan HEREN. jba
Dan Haren does appear in Series 2. He is card #601.
ReplyDeleteThat Iannetta photoshop is what is wrong with Topps currently. Obviously it is a Rockies uniform, but Topps tries to play God in order to beat others to the punch. But there are no others right now, so what is the hurry to photoshop new uniforms on players?
I'll fix the spelling, thanks,
ReplyDeleteJoe, BCCM
