Topps 60 Best Cards...#43!

Now that Topps has finally brought the public up to speed on their countdown of their greatest cards of all-time as voted on by the collecting public, this morning, they announced which card took in the 43rd most votes.

Card #43 is...

(drumroll please)

1978 Topps #36 Eddie Murray

Thoughts: Eddie Murray was named to the 1977 Topps All-Star Rookie team as its Designated Hitter because although he didn't win either the first base or outfield positions outright, he gathered enough votes between the two to garner consideration. One of the few highlights for a set that doesn't get much hobby love but a ton of notoriety.

Beckett has this listed between $40.00-$80.00 (January 2011)

Card #42 on the countdown will be announced tomorrow.

Sincerely,

I love comments. Please leave comments!!! (Ego, hush). Just keep your words clean (I show my kids this stuff), and the comment will be accepted.

If you must leave a comment anonymously, that's fine too. Although I wish you wouldn't. I'd like to get to know the people who actually read this humble little blog.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
