2009 Topps Redfest Cards featuring the 2010 Topps Design

Friend of the blog, facebook friend, and The Writer's Journey's own Jason T. Carter took time out of his busy weekend to take the family to the annual Redsfest in beautiful Cincinnati, Ohio. And this year, he took pictures.

What was of interest to me, and I sent a message via facebook asking, was if there were going to be Topps Redsfest cards just like the year before. Not only did Mr. Carter say that there were, he even scanned all eight cards, front AND BACKS, on facebook.

The checklist looks to include:
  • Jay Bruce
  • Johnny Cueto
  • Chris Dickerson
  • Ryan Hanigan
  • Brandon Phillips
  • Scott Rolen
  • Drew Stubbs
  • Joey Votto
Enclosed are scans of some of the cards that I "borrowed" from Jason's Redfest Album:

    Jay Bruce.

    Brandon Phillips.

Joey Votto (something for our friends over at VottoTron!!!)

And while not officially a 2010 Topps card, this is the first image (borrowed, of course) image of what the 2010 Topps card backs might look like. Enjoy!!!

Okay, so I'm a Cubs fan. But I collect Topps baseball cards, regardless of team. This would make a good addition to my collection. Now it's time to send an e-mail to Mr. Carter about getting my hands on a set.

    Sincerely,

    JayBee Anama

    1. I'll be posting the full set on TWJ later today after I get home from Chuck E. Cheese. Sorry I couldn't get you a full set, but you'll be getting 4 out of 8.

    2. Rehab stats? You never see those. But I really hope they're not breaking with tradition and ditching the career stats.

    3. I bet we see a lot more of these types of sets and ball park giveaway cards in 2010 from Topps.

I love comments. Please leave comments!!! (Ego, hush). Just keep your words clean (I show my kids this stuff), and the comment will be accepted.

If you must leave a comment anonymously, that's fine too. Although I wish you wouldn't. I'd like to get to know the people who actually read this humble little blog.

    Thank you very much.

    Sincerely,
