If Chris Olds is correct, (and most likely he is), then this should be the 2009 Topps design!
Thank you Chris!!!
These are beautiful!!! Give me a minute, I need to stop hyperventilating!!!

I love comments. Please leave comments!!! (Ego, hush). Just keep your words clean (I show my kids this stuff), and the comment will be accepted.
If you must leave a comment anonymously, that's fine too. Although I wish you wouldn't. I'd like to get to know the people who actually read this humble little blog.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
JayBee Anama
this looks a lot more likely than the last one.
ReplyDeleteI like the design. It's simple, white borders and team colors on the corners. It's a more "modern" type design.
ReplyDeleteThe design reminds me of a more modern version of the 1994 design.
ReplyDeletewow. they look good, not as nice as the 2006 design, better than '07, like it just as much as '08. i give it a 7.5/10.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the drizz. It's the best since 2006. Possibly better than 2006.
ReplyDeleteI like the design. I'm tired of UD's borderless cards. They all end up looking alike year after year. I especially like the horizontal version. I wish Topps would do an all horizontal set. I don't think they've done one since 1960.

Times New Roman font? Are you serious?
ReplyDeleteAlso why is Albert Pujols listed as a pitcher?
Color me disappointed. I'll take '06, '07 and '08 over this design.
This may grow on me. Early feel is that I'm not dissapointed.
ReplyDeleteHas anybody checked out Topps web yet announcing a new American Heritage brand with a bunch of classic Topps designs. Just when I thought I'd be collecting a '60 Heritage, there may not be one in 2009??

So the more I look, the more I like. Still a little bit of a letdown after what I considered a personal favorite in 2008.
ReplyDeleteStill better than Upper Deck!
I like the idea of Topps American Heritage. With Mantle, Ruth, Cobb, etc. as part of the sports heroes it will be great to see them on classic Topps Desgins. Kind of a Fan Favorites set. I could care less about the historical and political figures, but am excited about what they will do with the sports heroes.
ReplyDeleteI like these a lot, but I know I will be disappointed when I buy my first pack. They always look better on the computer...the foil always ruins the real thing for me.
ReplyDeleteAt least there isnt a fake signature at the bottom i hate when they do that because when you get them signed they look awful!
